Today was our only full day in New York. We had a plan of attack. First thing we were going to go to our Bakery and get something for Breakfast, then we were going to head down to the TKS center and see if we could get tickets to see Mary Poppins. We wanted to hit the evening show. We also new that we wanted to take another bus tour. Here are Belle and I in our Hotel room all dressed and ready for the day.
After we got something to eat, we saw a neat street fair going on. This was on Broadway, we decided to check it out. There was such a yummy smell of food in the air, so much was going on. We shopped at the little stands and got our family members at home some souvenirs, and some fun goodies for ourselves. We couldn't get tickets yet for the Musical so we decided to take the Uptown Tour. Lots of neat buildings to see, and so much history. This is an upscale hotel that can run you about $5,000 a night.

These 2 towers were built after the World Trade Center went down, not in the same location but in honor of them.

This is the building where John Lennon once lived and was assassinated in front of. Yoko Ono still owns the building, and is very strict on who lives here.
Fountain in Central Park, This fountain is featured in the show Friends, this is the beginning where they are all dancing with their umbrellas and the couch.

This bridge is famous, a few movies were filmed here, Home Alone, Enchanted, and a few more...

My mom and sister. We took this really neat tour of Central Park. A College student from Russia was our tour guide he rode us around the 843 acres of the park on a bike, and we sat in this bench as he peddled us around, we learned lots about the park.
This is at the Strawberry Fields section of the park, near the home of John Lennon, we all know his song Imagine and this was done in his honor.
Does this look familiar? If you have seen the movie Night at the Museum then this is why, this was the statue in the movie
This is a celebrity building, not sure who actually lives in this one, I saw so many and heard so many names, could be Seinfelds, Denzel Washingtons, I just can't remember.
After our Central park tour we got back on our bus and went through parts of the actual town were people live and it's not so touristy. We ate at a cute deli and had more pizza. We walked around a little and then caught the bus again to Time Square. This is a Catholic church we waited in front of to catch our bus, this church was huge!
Minnie and Daisy just love American Girl Dolls, so when I saw the actual store I had to get a picture for them. Daisy does have an actual doll, and Minnie has one on her Christmas list.
My sister wanted to go and check out her place of business. This Gap was huge, 3 stories and full of everything, of course we went shopping, but you would be so proud of me, I did NOT buy my kids anything, I bought for myself. =)
Looking up at the New Years Ball. The building is covered in advertisements, The advertisements alone cover the rent for the whole building, so there are no business's or residents living here.
Looking down the street, just amazed me at how tall all the buildings were.
Once we were done with our tour we headed back to get tickets, we were not able to get tickets of Mary Poppins. We decided to go shopping instead. Can't go to New York and not shop. Also while on our tour we saw the restaurant Chevy's. We use to love going there when we lived in Ca. They don't have them here in Texas so we had to have dinner there.
The city at night, it is so lit up. I found it so amusing that, people were sitting on the curbs watching the season finale of LOST. This was playing on one of the huge screens in Time Square. There was not any sound, the city streets were too busy so everyone watching had to read the subtitles.
i could have walked the city all night, there is just so much going on all the time.
