New York Day 3

We got up a little later than we had hoped to today, but we were still able to get a lot of sight seeing done. Our flight did not leave until 7 pm, so we had the majority of the day. Breakfast was at our new favorite bakery shop "Roxy's" Yummy Pastries. We then hit our makeup store again for some more goodies. We then took the downtown tour. We saw the Largest Macy's ever, 6 stories high and 2 full blocks, if we would of had time we would have gone shopping. =) Empire State Building, we only got to see it from the outside, we will have to go again so we can do so much more, 3 days was just not enough time to do all that we had planned.

This was such a sweet spot, all these tiles were made by children in honor of all those men and women who lost their lives in 9/11. This whole street corner was lined with tiles.

We didn't get to see the actual site of ground zero. There was a lot of construction going on. There was a shop on the corner full of history and photos.

In place of the Twin Towers will be these 2 huge waterfalls honoring all who lost their lives that day. This is the model.

We then headed down towards the water and ate at this great little restaurant, we had the best fish and chips ever. This is the Manhattan bridge that we had just come across.

When our downtown tour had ended, we went back to our hotel to get our luggage, catch a cab, and head back to the airport. It was time to get going home. I was not ready to get home at all. I had so much fun on our mini adventure to New York. I can't wait to go back!!!!!
