Acorns

We have been talking a lot about the seasons and what happens in each Season. We went on a walk and found leaves, and acorns. The kids collected the acorns. We decided to do a little experiment with them. Daddy looked up a recipe on the Internet and we cracked them open, got out the "nut" then mom had to boil them several times until the water was clear. we then dried them out, and then roasted them in the oven. They were still gross, and we ended up throwing them away, but it was fun to experiment and do something different.
